Make these easy, healthy air fryer fish and sweet potato dog treats in under 30 minutes! Packed with omega-3s and vitamins, they’re perfect for sensitive dogs or owners looking for a simple homemade snack.

Ingredients

• 150g cooked white fish (cod, pollock, or haddock – boneless and skinless)
• 150g mashed sweet potato (cooked and cooled)
• 1 medium egg
• 40–50g oat flour (add gradually to form a firm dough)
• 1 tsp dried parsley (optional – supports breath and digestion)

Instructions

1. To Cook the Fish:
2. Use boneless, skinless white fish (fresh or defrosted if frozen).
3. Place the fish in a saucepan, cover with water, and gently simmer for 6–8 minutes until it flakes easily with a fork.
4. Alternatively: Steam the fish for 8–10 minutes or bake at 180°C (356°F) for 12–15 minutes with no oil or seasoning.
5. Drain and cool completely before flaking into small pieces.
6. To Cook the Sweet Potato:
7. Peel and dice one medium sweet potato (around 150–200g raw).
8. Boil or steam until soft — about 10–12 minutes.
9. Drain well and mash until smooth. Allow to cool before mixing with other ingredients.
10. To Make the Treats:
11. Preheat your air fryer to 180°C (356°F).
12. In a mixing bowl, combine the flaked fish and mashed sweet potato.
13. Stir in the egg until well mixed.
14. Gradually add oat flour until a soft but non-sticky dough forms.
15. Roll into small balls or flatten into discs about 2–3cm wide.
16. Line your air fryer basket with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
17. Arrange treats in a single layer and cook for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and firm.
18. Cool fully before serving or storing.
