Low Purine Chicken Casserole

A full proof, all in one complete recipe that is suitable for dogs needing a low purine diet

TIP - you can substitute the broth with water and the buckwheat with quinoa

Low Purine Chicken Casserole 130 Kcals per 100g

Method:

Heat oven to 320C/165C fan/gas 3.

Chop chicken breasts in half add to the casserole pan along with the chopped carrots and lamb’s livers. Stir all together and add 150ml of the bone broth (or water)

Put the lid on the pan and transfer to the oven for 2 hours.

After 2 hours remove from the oven, add the buckwheat and the remaining 300ml of bone broth and stir well

Replace the lid and put back in for another hour

Meanwhile, take a pan of boiling water and add 3 eggs and cook for 8 mins. Remove and allow to cool

Remove the casserole from the oven and let cool

Once cool stir in the hemp oil, egg shell powder, wheat grass, kelp, cod liver oil and crushed manganese supplement. Peel the eggs and chop up and add to the mixture

At this point you can mash up the casserole a little with a potato masher if you want the texture finer

Portion up and freeze for up to 3 months

(you can also use a slow cooker - follow the same method but put on low for 7-8 hours adding the buckwheat in on hour 5)
