Dog-Friendly Lasagne

A slice of lasagne topped with fresh basil

A complimentary recipe designed as a snack

Suitable for all healthy dogs including puppies over 3 months

Method:

1. Pre-cook the pasta sheets according to package directions. Set aside on a clean towel so they don’t stick together.

2. In a large pan, brown the turkey mince over medium heat until fully cooked (about 7-8 minutes).

3. Add grated carrot and courgette, and sauté together for another 3-4 minutes until soft.

4. Pour in the broth and simmer gently for 5 minutes until most liquid is absorbed but mixture stays moist. Let cool slightly.

5. In a small pot, whisk goats’ milk powder and corn starch with 240ml water until smooth.

6. Heat over medium heat, whisking continuously, until it thickens into a creamy sauce (about 2-3 minutes). Remove from heat.

7. In a small baking dish (about 8x8 inches), spoon a layer of turkey filling at the bottom.

8. Add a layer of buckwheat pasta sheets and spoon over a thin layer of the goat milk sauce.

9. Repeat layers until ingredients are used up, finishing with a layer of sauce on top.

10. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 20-25 minutes until bubbling and lightly golden.

11. Cool completely before serving to your dog. Cut into portions suited to your dog’s size and store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.

TIP: You can substitute the carrots for sweet potato for any other root veg and the courgette for spinach or kale!
