Treat your dog with this simple, healthy homemade dog pâté recipe from The Canine Collective. Wholesome ingredients, easy to make and perfect for all healthy dogs over 6 months
Method:
Cut up the sweet potato into small cubes and boil/steam for 10-12 minutes until soft enough for mashing
Whilst boiling take the liver and simmer in a small amount of water for roughly 5 mins or until cooked through. Reserve the water (You can do this in the microwave if you choose for 3 mins on high)
Take the sweet potato and liver and put in a food processor and blitz until smooth. You may want to add in some of the liver cooking water at this point until you get the desired consistency You can also use a hand blender
Take the mixture and pour/spread into small moulds (paw shapes etc) and freeze. Simply take the desired amount of pate out, let defrost for 1-2 hours and use as a topper or on a lick mat.
